50s and Fun at Southern Exposure, the premier produce industry event

This past week, Roka had a great time at the Southeast Produce Council’s annual Southern Exposure located in beautiful Orlando, Florida. The 50s-themed event was certainly very fun and offered lots of networking opportunities for growers and retailers alike. One of the highlights of the show included the fantastic Opening Gala complete with fair games and vintage cars.

We particularly enjoyed this wagon on its way to the beach with the surfboard on top.

Archie Manning gave a poignant keynote speech on the importance of always striving to become a better leader.

And of course the exhibitors had lots of fun giveaways and food to taste test. An interesting trend the industry is moving towards is more kid-focused packaging, for example through use of licensed characters, and this theme was seen at many booths.

Overall, it was a very fun event, with lots of entertainment, and engagement by all of the attendees. I highly recommend that anyone in the produce industry or interested about learning about produce attend!
